What is Salesforce Experience Cloud?
Salesforce Experience Cloud allows its users to create websites from ready-to-deploy templates or build completely custom experiences from the ground up. These experiences could be a website, portal, forum, help center, or even a mobile app. They create a window into your organization's data for customers, partners, or employees. We here at Toughcode Technologies have highlighted a few of the potential benefits that can come from utilizing the powerful features of Salesforce Experience Cloud in your own business.
1) Let customers, partners, and employees manage and maintain their own data
Managing data is time consuming and prone to errors, and that data can become out of date. You can use Experience cloud to build a portal for your customers, partners, or employees to log into and access their own data. Not only does this save your company time and money, but it also allows those users to interface with your company in a transparent way. Depending on whether the user has a Partner Community License or a Customer Community License will determine what standard objects that user can access and at what level. These internal users can also be given full permissions on custom objects. If your site is set up for guest users, access to data is determined in the site's setup.
2) Decrease case load by opening up your knowledge base to customers
No matter if your support staff is big or small, making it easy for your customers to discover solutions to common problems eliminates cases that are a time and energy crunch on your staff. Solve the problem once, create the knowledge article, and then make that article easily searchable to your customers in an Experience cloud customer service site. Salesforce even has a fantastic template ready to go that makes this use case a no brainer. Simply select the appropriate checkbox on the Knowledge article to make it accessible to the desired users.
3) Better integrate with your partners to make teaming up effortless
The easier you make it for your partners to team up, whether that’s selling your products or offering complimentary services, the more productive they become and the more the both of you benefit from the relationship. You can use an Experience Cloud site to enable partners to onboard, train, qualify leads, manage their opportunities, and register ongoing deals. The Partner Central template makes this use case easy to implement. This is also a great way to align and organize your marketing efforts with your partners. Using Salesforce’s Distributed Marketing tool, you can provide your partners with campaigns so that your entire sales network is coordinated and on message. Partners can even use the portal to request market development funds to drive sales with their own marketing strategies.
4) Quickly and easily create a mobile app
The average adult in the US spends well over 3 hours a day on their phone, meaning smart phones have become an extension of ourselves. If your company doesn’t have a mobile app, you’re missing a huge opportunity to interact with your customers. Experience cloud not only makes the mobile app creation process very simple, it also can automatically set up your app in both the Apple App Store and Google Play. If more advanced functionality is needed, Salesforce has the Mobile SDK available for things such as accessing the native hardware (camera, microphone, etc), geofencing, or even augmented reality. Many of the supplied templates are already mobile friendly, saving your business time and money on development.
